Lost one earbud? Pair a replacement left or right bud with your existing case and bud in about 10 minutes β works for boAt, Realme, OnePlus, JBL & more.
Before you start
1Forget the old pairing on your phone
Open Bluetooth settings, find your earbuds' name, and choose Forget/Unpair. The buds must start from a clean slate β a stale pairing blocks the new bud from joining.
2Place both buds in the case
Put your existing bud AND the replacement into the charging case together and keep the lid open. Both should show their charging LEDs; reseat a bud if its LED stays off.
3Factory-reset the buds in the case
With the lid open, press and hold the case button (or both touch panels on button-less models) for 10β30 seconds until the LEDs flash β commonly white/red alternating, or three blinks. This wipes the old link between the buds and makes them re-sync to each other. The exact hold time varies by brand: boAt ~10s on the touch panels, Realme ~10s on the case button, OnePlus ~12s, JBL ~15s in-case.
4Let the two buds sync to each other
Close the lid for 10 seconds, then open it. The buds now perform their internal sync β one LED usually blinks while the other goes steady. If both blink independently and never settle, repeat the reset step once.
5Pair with your phone as if new
With the lid open (buds in the case), pick the earbuds' name in your phone's Bluetooth list. Accept the pairing prompt. First connection can take ~20 seconds.
6Test both sides
Play music and check audio in BOTH ears, then test calls (the mic often lives in one specific bud). If only one side plays, do one more full reset cycle β second attempts succeed surprisingly often.

Will a replacement single earbud work with my existing case?
Yes β as long as it is the same brand, model, and generation. TWS earbuds sync through the case reset procedure, which is exactly what this guide walks through.
The new bud shows in the case but never syncs. What now?
Charge everything 30 minutes, then repeat the factory reset holding a few seconds LONGER than the guide time. If it still fails after 3 attempts, the bud may be a different hardware revision β contact us with your order number and we will help or replace it.
Do I need any app to pair a replacement bud?
No. The reset-and-pair procedure works from the case and your phone's Bluetooth settings. Brand apps (boAt Hearables, HeyMelody, etc.) are optional for firmware updates afterwards.
