One bud dead, silent or not charging on your 2021 OnePlus Buds Pro (E503A)? Work out which single part you need, check it is not a Buds Pro 2, and fit it.

1Work out which part actually failed
Charge everything for 30 minutes first, because a flat cell imitates a dead bud. Then: if ONE bud is silent, will not charge, drains far faster than the other, or plays at low volume while the other is fine, you need that single earbud. If BOTH buds behave normally in your hands but neither charges, or the lid or hinge is broken, or the case empties in hours, you need the charging case. If both buds are dead in every case you try, the buds themselves are gone.
2Identify the side, left or right
Sides are not interchangeable — a left bud will not work as a right. OnePlus prints L and R on the inside stem of each bud, and the case moulding is side-specific: the bud only seats one way round. Order the side that failed, not the side you still have.
3Match the colour so the set matches
OnePlus sold the 1st gen as Matte Black and Glossy White (Radiant Silver arrived in India in April 2022). The finish names matter because a Glossy White bud next to a Matte Black one is obvious at a glance. Order the colour of the set you already own.
4Reset the pair so the new part is adopted
A replacement bud is never paired on its own — it is adopted during a factory reset of the pair. Put both buds in the case, close the lid, then press and hold the button on the case until the indicator light flashes red. That clears the old pairing and re-syncs whichever two buds are inside. A replacement case works the same way: seat your existing buds in the new case and run the same reset.
5Forget the old pairing and connect fresh
On your phone, open Bluetooth settings and choose Forget or Unpair for the old OnePlus Buds Pro entry. A stale pairing is the most common reason a correctly reset set refuses to connect. Then open the case near the phone and accept the new pairing prompt.
6Test both channels before you trust it
Play audio and check left and right separately — many phones have a sound balance slider you can drag fully left and then fully right to confirm each side. Check that both buds charge in the case, and that noise cancellation engages on both sides.

Can I buy just one earbud for OnePlus Buds Pro, or do I need the whole set?
Just one. The left earbud, the right earbud and the charging case are all sold separately for the 1st gen, so a single dead bud costs a fraction of a new set. Amazon and Flipkart largely do not stock this part — searches there return ear tips and silicone covers rather than the bud itself.
Will a replacement bud pair with the bud and case I already own?
Yes. Put both buds in the case, close the lid, and hold the case button until the light flashes red. That resets the pair and syncs whichever two buds are inside. It is not paired on its own from your phone.
How do I tell a 1st gen OnePlus Buds Pro from a Buds Pro 2?
The model number inside the charging case lid: E503A is the 2021 first generation, E507A is Buds Pro 2. The original colour names are another giveaway — the 1st gen came in Matte Black and Glossy White, while Buds Pro 2 came in Obsidian Black and Arbor Green.
One bud drains much faster than the other. Is that fixable without replacing it?
Usually not. These launched in 2021, and a lithium cell that small degrades with cycles; once one side runs down noticeably faster, the cell is worn and is not separately serviceable. Replacing that single bud is the practical fix.
Is a third-party replacement bud as good as the original?
It should behave the same in daily use: same fit, same charging contacts, and noise cancellation works across the pair. It is a compatible replacement part rather than a OnePlus-branded retail unit, which is why it costs a fraction of a new set.
